I saw a sign, this afternoon, that absolutely baffled me. I’d love to have taken a photo of it, but I was driving past it at 30 MPH. It read:
‘Police aware
We are targeting
criminals in the
local area’
Am I missing something? Am I being thick? Isn’t that the basic job of the police?
Who wrote this sign? Was someone paid to do it?
It’s like a school having the motto:
‘Here to teach your kids stuff‘
Or the fire brigade:
‘Preventing stuff from
burning down,
and rescuing kittens
in your local area‘
Seriously – what an utter waste of words.
